The House Ledger

Terms of Service

Last updated: 30 June 2026

These terms govern your use of The House Ledger (“the app”). By signing in or using the app, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.

In plain terms: this is a free, informal tool for keeping score and splitting up the pot at a friendly poker night. It tracks numbers — it does not run a game of chance, take bets, or move money. You and your group are responsible for what you do with it.

1. What the app is

The House Ledger is a personal accounting tool for recording buy-ins, cash-outs and settle-ups for home poker games among friends, and for calculating who owes whom the fewest payments. It is provided free of charge and “as is”.

2. Not gambling, not a payment service

3. Your account & conduct

4. Your data

Your use of the app is also covered by our Privacy Policy, which explains what we store and your choices. You can delete your games and profile data from within the app, or request full account deletion by email.

5. Availability

The app is a personal project offered without guarantees of uptime, accuracy, or continued availability. We may change, suspend, or discontinue it at any time.

6. No warranty

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don’t warrant that calculations are error-free or that the service will be uninterrupted. Always confirm settlement amounts among yourselves before paying.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The House Ledger and its maker are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for any disputes, payments, or amounts arising between users of the app. You use it at your own risk.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the “Last updated” date above will change. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the revised terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India.
